Mission

REMC 13's mission is to provide proactive leadership, instructional resources and support services to public and non-public K-12 schools within Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties.

Core Beliefs

REMC 13 accomplishes this within the framework of the following core beliefs:

  • Improving learning for all students is our primary focus;
  • Through collaboration, leadership, service and the use of technology we are better able to support our constituents and improve teaching and learning;
  • Teachers are empowered to create high quality-engaging instructional environments that have access to the necessary skills, tools and rich sources of information;
  • Providing effective cost savings through statewide cooperative purchasing allows local resources to be reallocated to enhance teaching and learning;
  • School library media specialists are key partners in achieving our mission.

REMC 13, one of Michigan's 22 Regional Educational Media Centers, is a service of Clinton County RESA, Eaton and Ingham Intermediate School Districts. REMC provides instructional materials and support services to public and non-public K-12 schools within these counties.

Schools may choose either Participating or A La Carte membership. Participating members receive the full range of REMC services. A La Carte members choose and pay for specific REMC services.
